Kitchen Direction as per Vastu Shastra

    Prosperity ushers if East is chosen as the direction for kitchen.

    Southeast corner of the house is the perfect kitchen direction. Southeast corner is dedicated to the Hindu god Lord Agni who prevents fire. Hence this direction is appropriate.

    Another direction best suitable for constructing the cooking area is northwest direction.

    If the plot of the land is diagonal, constructing kitchen in northwest direction is not recommended.

    The northeast corner should never be used for constructing the kitchen. This direction is best suited for living rooms and meditation rooms because the morning sunrays fall on this direction early as compared to other directions.

    The arrangement of the direction for kitchen should be such that the doors should be placed in the northeast or north corners of the room. Windows must occupy the east direction.
